Santa has visited me early this year. It must be because I am on the nice list. At least for this week.
I went to a holiday sale at a local church last week. I arrived early (which is what you have to do to get first crack at the good stuff), so I was able to help one of the church ladies carry in the dozens of cookies that she had baked.
It seems that my good deed was rewarded.
Here's a closer look at my haul.
Giant foam Santa head, hand-knitted Grama and Grampa stockings (headed for Etsy), a vintage tablecloth that looks like an old-fashioned cross-stitch sampler, a tree skirt that I bought to salvage the felt Santas on it for other projects, a silky thread standing Santa, a red bottle brush tree, some rhinestone-eye Santa mugs and a Japanese deer).
All for under – wait for it – $5.
Great incentive to continue to be nice rather than naughty, don’t you think?
