I was on my way to a garage sale when my junking radar went on alert.
There. Down that street (which I just passed). A bunch of boxes and bags near the curb -- the sure sign of old lady house cleanout?
So, I turned around. And, yes, it was what I thought it was, but there wasn't much -- except for a bit of vintage Easter:
A collection of sweet small sweet baskets in pretty spring colors.
Two pairs of well-worn Gurley candles. They're not in the best condition, but I always pick up Gurley candles unless they're a melted mess. Especially when I can save them from the trash truck.
Two pairs of silk thread chicks (or are they hens?) and bunnies. At least I think the yellow ones are bunnies because of the lone ear on the one that's on the left. All are in need of some TLC.
And finally my favorite find -- some spunhead chicks with spun cotton feet that resemble Easter eggs. I think the one of the right is holding a spun cotton carrot.
Did I ever get to that garage sale? You betcha. The best stuff was in the "free box."
Ticky tacky plastic Christmas decor and some flocked deer.
I'm seeing the start of a couple of fun wreaths. And I'm all about fun wreaths.
In fact, I'm hoping to get a start on some Christmas crafts (wreaths, planters and more) in July. Christmas in July. Get it?
