The good news is that this arrived in the mail last week. It's the official notice for the spring cleanup that happens every April and May in my little corner of Upstate New York. Basically, it's sanctioned trashpicking, and over the years, I have found some pretty great stuff. You can read about it here.
Our town is divided into little sections, and this year, my section is up first. That means I can decide what I'm tossing early, which leaves me a lot more time for picking.
The bad news is that this Saturday is the very first church rummage sale of the season, which should make me very happy. This is a church that hasn't had a rummage sale before and it's in a section of town that usually has pretty good estate sales. But I won't be here for it.
The good news, however, is that if I'm going to miss the first rummage sale of the season, I'm missing it for a very good reason, and it's this: The Vintage Soul family is going to Disney World to visit Daughter No. 1, who is in the Disney College Program.
And that's the best news of all.

Disney and a special daughter definitely trumps spring clean-up. Enjoy!

I hope you have a wonderful time with your family. I see many more dumpsters in your future.
