It's a gray day in upstate New York in more ways than one.
Outside, the weather is alternating between an annoying mist and a steady downpour. It's a good day to stay inside and eat warm apple pie (a la mode of course) and not feel one bit guilty about the extra calories.
It's also good to admire the pink items that I found at sales over the weekend.
Pink pillowcases with delicate ribbons and sprays of flowers, found at a church rummage sale.
Pink vintage wrapping paper from an estate sale.
And from the same sale, about three yards of a 1950s fabric with a pink and aqua floral print. There were also pink chairs from a beauty shop, but I didn't bring those home, tempted as I was.
And best of all, near the beauty shop chairs, there were some Christmas ornaments, including several small boxes of pink Shiny Brites.
Pink is welcome anytime, but especially when everything seems to be gray.

Spent the day sorting ornaments ... those pink ones are spectacular!

I am wanting some gray days here with no rain since july 20th. Great pinky finds...especially the shiny brites!

Love the pink and aqua fabric! And who doesn't love Shiny Brites! That looks like it was a fun sale. Glad you made out so well.
