Less is More. Really.

I am so over this obviously fake Christmas garland, which is why when I took my decorations down, I hauled a big plastic garbage bag of it to the thrift store.

And I nearly added this garland to the pile because I've never liked those obviously fake holly leaves.

But I thought that maybe, if I take those holly leaves and cheap red plastic ornaments off, that there could be something worth saving underneath.

And there was. Now I have two reasonably realistic-looking and simple pine garlands, plus a new attitude about making do with less in 2012.
