As you may recall, I've been limiting my junkin' ways this summer, and I've been a good girl, really. I haven't been to every garage sale and rummage sale, and I've been really selective about what I do buy.
Except ...
When I'm feeling a little bit blue about both of my girls going to college, and I come across a collosal rummage sale right across the street from the school that my oldest daughter is attending.
And there are some cool vintage housewares.
The Comet Lint Brush? Bet you would have bought it too. The pressed plastic napkin holder? The cheese plate? (No, it's not vintage but more about that later.)
And could you have resisted a heart-shaped crocheted sachet (or is it a pin cushion)?
Or the too cute fabric that it's sitting on?
And you know I'm a complete and utter fool for holiday stuff.
Which brings me to these vintage ornaments that I bought the day before this sale. I was at a small, family-run estate sale when I came across these boxes tucked way back in the garage.
You would have called me crazy if I didn't snap these up. Especially when they set me back about the same price as a cup of coffee.
Good girl! You found some amazing treasures!~~~XXOO, Beth

Ahhh! I would have weakened too for that pumpkin candle holder and I've never seen a napkin holder before. That is really cute.

I sure wish I lived where you do!

I think we all need a little "except" sometimes...the perfect pick-me up! Great Christmas ornaments and I would have probably bought that lint brush too.

I AM SO INSANELY JEALOUS that you basically STOLE those ornaments from those folks. I am a DIEHARD collector... and they go pricey where I live.
Also the "estate sales" in my area are always auctions, not garage sale style. Which makes it harder.
