In the interest of much-needed de-cluttering, I'm renting a small booth Saturday at an "antiques and fine art sale."
And I'm just a little bit intimidated because I hope that the "fine art" part of the sale doesn't imply that it's "fine antiques" too. I wouldn't classify my inventory as "fine," although it is darn good vintage. And I'm hoping that it's vintage that someone else will appreciate and buy.
It's housewares, mostly with a red theme.
Assorted baby items.
Christmas of course.
And some stuff that don't seem to fit into any category.
Plus, linens, greeting cards, watering cans, patterns, buttons, hankies, a set of shutters, wallpaper, ledgers and the list goes on and on. See what I mean about de-cluttering? There's just too much stuff and it's starting to get to me a little, so what I don't move at the sale will go to an upcoming garage sale.
Because I'm a newbie at this, I'm looking for advice from veteran exhibitors. What did you learn the hard way that you wish you had known before you set up your booth?
Wish me luck, which I'm sure I will need. In fact, maybe I should keep a few items from this box just in case praying helps too.
Good luck with the sale. I know I'd buy from you if I was there, since you have such neat stuff. I wouldn't worry about your 'quality' of items at all- may you come home with an empty car!

Am sure you will do fine and drive home with an empty car...I would surely be thrilled to find your booth to shop at and would be making some purchases!
My words of advice - make the booth attractive to shop at...like a bee to vintage honey. Don't just pile willy nilly on your table. I like to use some height when I display (I use vintage toy ironing boards).
Make sure things are priced..drives me bananas when things are not.
good luck!

I would be happy to come across your lovely vintage items! Hope you sell lots! Also sidenote...I just read your previous post and I too have discovered the amazing powers of Oxyclean. Oxyclean and Dyson Vacuums...I would happily become their unpaid spokesperson..lol!

Good luck! I bet you'll sell out! Wish I could come and buy from your booth...you've got some really nifty items!

I would so buy from your booth! As a buyer rather than a seller, I can say less stuff is better. I'm often short on time when I run in to shop and I don't want to search for stuff. If it's RIGHT there for me to see, that helps! Good luck! ♥
