The opportunities to junk can be few and far between at this time of year. So, when you have the chance to go to not one but two estate sales in one weekend, you disregard the fact that's it's barely 0, bundle up and venture out.
And you hope that you find a treasure or two, which, happily, I did.
The best find, I think, was this little deer planter, which may not look like it from this photo, but is jadite green. He's simple but sweet.
I'm also fond of this retro plaid cooler, which matches a handled picnic tin I found at a rummage sale last summer.
Even the name implies a good time and much warmer weather.
And speaking of items with handles, here's a trio of baskets that I plan to refurbish for the Easter Etsy shop.
And finally, some tablecloths, which, while very pretty, need some soaking and sunning come spring.
And more linens, which were half-price in the last hour of the weekend's second sale. Yes, I went out twice because it was close by. The tablecloth on the left has strawberries, cherries and clover. The one on the right is an oddball mix of pattern and color (black, pink, blue and lilac), but the more I look at it, the more I like it.
I SO wish that there were some sales that I could stand outside at and freeze while waiting to get inside! Because if there were treasures like this waiting in there, it would be worth it!

I found the same deer planter a few months ago, but mine's off-white. Be careful when you wash it- my husband sliced his finger open on the inside of it- nothing broken on it, just a really jagged spot. Love your tablecloths, too!

He looks like a giraffe with the spots I thought! Good find!
