Many thanks for those birthday greetings. It was nice to share my "big" day with so many friends.
And in keeping with the birthday theme, the celebration continues at the Madison-Bouckville Outdoor Antiques Show. Bouckville has always been an event for me, something that I do every year. But this year it's a little different. First, and most importantly, on Thursday I'm meeting some of my blogging buddies, Sue and Gina, who are traveling to B'ville to shop. Second, I usually go just on the weekend, which is when the big show is held. But starting on Tuesday and Wednesday, there are several other smaller shows that run through the week. Usually, I try to cram everything into Saturday, making for one very exhausting day.
Bouckville, by the way, is a village on US Route 20 about 35 miles east of Syracuse; Madison is the name of the county where it is located. The big show, which boasts of 1,000 dealers, started about 40 years ago and has been written about in publications that include Country Home (R.I.P) and Country Living.
Over the years I've found a lot of great stuff there and that brings me to the final part of the big 5-0 celebration. I'm going to shop for you. Well, for one of you. I plan to put together a B'ville prize package of some odds and ends, so watch for a big giveaway sometime next week.
In the meantime, here are a few image from B'ville treasures of the past. You can see more here and here.
And a good reminder for all of us (especially when you can't find what you want):
Going to Bouckville, too on Saturday. At first I was confused when you wrote B'ville. Usually B'ville stands for Baldwinsville. I got all excited that maybe you knew about some secret shopping spots in Baldwinsville that I didn't know about. LOL. Then I realized you were referring to Bouckville as B'ville. Way to confuse this fellow CNYer. LOL.
Hoping to find some vintage Christmas stuff or some fab vintage jewelry, esp. owl necklaces.

Hope you had a great time this year...sorry I didn't get to meet you! Can't wait to see what you found (and what I walked by and missed!)
Take care, Laura
