I have seen tacky crafts but this has got to be one of the top 2 (the other being that plastic with square holes that you sew together with yarn).

I know it was a different time back then - but how could those things be considered lovely and something you could wear on your head to a wedding!!

Looking forward to seeing your lovely home decorated with some of these. The southern belle is especially nice. Didn't I give you a doll some time ago? No reason not to get started right away!

Love it, fun post!

After reading the post...I knew I had some stashed somewhere. Cleaning out cupboards yesterday in the studio and there they were. They are pretty cool - I love how you have yours scattered in the picture- good inspiration! I had about 7 packs in white, pink and turquoise...now what to do with them!

Hilarious! Jewels

Did you see the post http://thompsonfamily.typepad.com/thompson_familylife/2009/09/thats-better.html - scroll down a few photos. She has cut up plastic doilies and used them on her wall. I have a short wall that I am thinking of scattering with my collection....need to paint the wall first tho.

If you don't have anything to do with them I'd be more than happy to buy them! :)

This post makes me realize the energy of words and pictures. As always your things are just gorgeous and I am grateful that you let us look in! Have a good week!

Just wondering what you ever did with these...I've been searching everywhere for a variety of exactly these to use for my mixed media art. They are great for using as stencils for paint and modeling paint! I've been unsuccessful in my search thus far!

I'm searching for plastic doillies, do you remember where you got yours from. Any help you give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Teresa
