The vintage crafts that I had hoped for at two weekend estate sales didn't pan out. Sale No. 1 was just "too," as in too crowded, too much glassware and too little crafts. And I never got to Sale No. 2.
But the weekend wasn't a complete loss. I clicked onto Craigslist and first saw this:
I have several New Pads, Tampons and Pantiliners to sell.
Tampons: Playtex(18 pcs): $2 each
Pads: Stayfree(32/36 pcs), Always, Kotex: $3 each
Pantiliners: $1 each.
Which wasn't exactly what I was looking for. But then, I struck gold:
So let's open it.
Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of vintage cards. Around 700 or so, said the guy selling them for $10. They belonged to his mother, who obviously was a saver. From reading the cards, I'm guessing that she's Mary and her husband is Sal.
Of the 700, 500 to 600 are worth keeping (and eventually selling). Here are some of them.
Cute Easter cards.
And more cute Easter cards.
Wonderful vintage Santa Christmas cards.
Cards for dad (who must have loved to fish).
And cards for mom. There are lots and lots of floral cards.
And even a couple of politically incorrect cards.
